Kaiju Jump
2D Platformer made for KaijuJam 3.
You play as a Kaiju who was travelling to the Balloon Parade in Kaiju Land until a mysterious yellow portal whisked you away to a strange, dystopian city.
Now, with all your balloons scattered across the landscape, you must jump over burning lava pits and stomp across collapsing buildings to find them.
Recover your balloons quickly so you can return home and finally attend the parade!
Controls: Use the arrow keys to move.
Troubleshooting:
- If the arrow keys don’t work and you’re using Chrome, try disabling your extensions or using a different browser.
- If the Kaiju gets stuck at any point and doesn’t reset itself, you can reset the level by selecting your current level on the level select screen (via the home button in the top right corner).
Background music was created using BeepBox, and sound effects were sourced from Freesound.

A perfectly servicable platformer. Many of the jumps are far too unforgiving and rely on a level of precision that is more frustrating than fun to navigate.
It has some issues with collision and some weird physics, but its an enjoyable game and fun platformer! Getting all the balloons was really fun!
Thanks for playing! And glad you still had fun despite the collision/physics issues! 😊 I'll definitely work on fixing those things lol
this game has some pretty questionable collisions at points.
and it's generally pretty easy, but I did die a few times.
but overall, I did enjoy it and eventually finished the whole game.
Thank you for playing! 😊
As for the collision, I played around with trying to fix it, but the Kaiju kept getting stuck in objects, so I left them floating a bit so the game was playable 😅
Next time though, I'll make sure that doesn't happen again, and also make some more complex/fun levels! Thanks again for the feedback!
